NAVY AIRMAN JACK F. RIGGS, son of Naval Reserve Petty Officer 1st Class and Mrs. Jack F. Riggs of Roanoke, recently returned to Norfolk after completing a six-month overseas deployment to the Adriatic Sea near Bosnia and to the Persian Gulf.
Riggs is a 1994 graduate of Northside High School.
NAVY PETTY OFFICER 3RD CLASS PATRICK O. SPARKS, son of Stella I. Leflore of Buchanan, recently returned to Norfolk after completing a six-month overseas deployment to the Adriatic Sea near Bosnia and the Persian Gulf.
Sparks is a 1994 graduate of James River High School.
PETTY OFFICER 2ND CLASS LISA R. WHARTON, daughter of Charles Preston of Blue Ridge, recently was promoted to her present rank while serving with Antarctic Development Squadron Six, Naval Air Station, Point Mugu, Calif.
PFC. JASON E. HAYSLETT, son of Charles E. and Martha M. Hayslett of Eagle Rock, recently reported for duty with Marine Wing Support Squadron 371, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, Marine Corps Air Station, Yuma, Ariz.
Hayslett is a 1995 graduate of James River High School.
PVT. BUCK L. CONNER, son of Gary W. and Litura R. Conner of Roanoke, recently completed basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Parris Island, S.C.
Conner is a 1995 graduate of Northside High School.
