      company's name was wrong in a stroy Friday.


PETERS CREEK'S NEXT PHASE TO BEGIN IN MAY

Construction of the second phase of the Peters Creek Road extension in Roanoke should get under way in May if the weather permits, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

A contract to extend the road from Shenandoah Avenue Northwest to Brandon Avenue Southwest for $8.02 million has been awarded by the Commonwealth Transportation Board to Fairhope Bridge Co. Inc. of Fishersville. The project includes two bridges.

Construction already has started on an extension of Peters Creek Road from Melrose Avenue Northwest to Shenandoah Avenue.
