Pulaski water tests

PULASKI - Water customers in parts of Pulaski may notice dingy water, temporary water pressure loss or even a short loss of service altogether over the next 30 days as the town's Engineering Department makes flow and valve tests.

The tests will be in the northwestern and northeastern sections of town, and are expected to affect Randolph, Henry and Jefferson Avenues from 10th Street to 5th Street North, and the area of Peppers Ferry Road, Beth Scott Drive, Grove Drive and English Forest.

Any loss of service should be less than five minutes. Dingy water can be cleared up by letting it run a few minutes.

The tests are being made to find out why there is a higher-than-expected pressure loss of water in these areas.

"The town is appreciative of the customers' understanding and regrets any inconvenience," said Town Engineer John Hawley. "If any citizen has a question or a concern about water pressure in these areas, they should contact me at the Engineering Department."

The department's telephone number is 980-1000, extension 44.
