Grand Piano & Furniture will move out of its downtown Main Street building in Blacksburg in September.
The Roanoke-based retailer announced last month it was closing its Blacksburg and Radford locations to consolidate its New River Valley business into one large store in the booming New River Valley Mall area of northern Christiansburg. The company is buying the 40,000 square-foot building off U.S. 460 formerly occupied by the Heironimus department store.
The new store will be opened late this summer, company officials said.
The 25,000-square-foot building in Blacksburg, which Grand Piano has occupied since 1983, is owned by the Emrose Corp. of Henderson, N.C.
