Penn did it all in a 6-5 10-inning win over Chatham. He went the distance on the mound for the victory, fanning 10 and walking one, and drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 10th.
SETH MOORE, RICKY EUBANKS, JEFF AKERS, Salem
Moore smacked a two-run homer, knocked in three runs and got the win with 1 1/3 innings of relief in a 6-5 victory over Rockbridge County. Eubanks, a catcher, was 3-for-4, scored the winning run and tagged out the potential tying run against the Wildcats. Akers is 12 for his last 16 at-bats to raise his batting average to .500.
DAVID LEONARD, Lord Botetourt
Leonard, who is batting .536, was 5-for-7 in losses to William Byrd and Radford. In the loss to the Terriers, Leonard scattered five hits, allowed one earned run and fanned seven.
TRAVIS HARVEY, Auburn
Harvey, a second baseman, was 5-for-5, scored three runs and knocked in two in a 13-10 win over Narrows.
MARK AKERS, Shawsville
After a shaky first inning, Akers ran his record to 5-0 with a 7-6 win at Floyd County. Down 5-0 after one, the Shawnees rallied as Akers had two hits, two RBI, two steals and scored the winning run. He struck out six batters and pitched out of a bases-loaded jam with none out in the seventh.
TONY HUFFMAN, SCOTT BOOTHE, Northside
Huffman was 2-for-3 with four RBI and Boothe was 2-for-3 as the Vikings knocked off previously unbeaten Alleghany 11-6. The game ended on a 6-3 triple play as shortstop Corey Shelton snagged a line drive, stepped on second and threw to first.
KEN HOUTZ, Galax
Houtz was 5-for-8 in two games last week. He was 3-for-5 with four RBI in a 22-19 win over Narrows and 2-for-3 in a 13-2 loss to Grayson County.

Dodson and Kaufman each went 3-for-4 as the Raiders scored 20 runs in the first two innings of a 26-2 win over Stuart Hall.

In a 7-2 win over Lord Botetourt, Welch was 3-for-4 and scored three runs and Adams tossed a five-hitter with five strikeouts and knocked in three runs.

Saunders, who is hitting .559, was 7-for-8 with seven RBI in two wins (10-0 over Brookville, 38-3 over William Campbell).
ERIN WEAVER, AMANDA OLIVER, Northside
Weaver tossed a complete-game shutout with 12 strikeouts in an 8-0 win over Patrick Henry. Oliver was 4-for-4 in a 13-11 win over Northside.
