Sen. Charles Robb topped all senators who voted for deficit-cutting measures, according to a ranking released Monday by a bipartisan group.
The Concord Coalition rated lawmakers' votes last year on 21 issues the organization believes affect the federal budget deficit. Robb, a Virginia Democrat, scored 96 percent on the group's test, higher than any other senator. Sen. John Warner, R-Va., scored 54 percent.
The Washington-based group calls its annual congressional ranking the ``tough choices'' list.
In the House of Representatives, Rep. Bob Goodlatte, R-Roanoke, scored 87 percent. Rep. L.F. Payne, D-Nelson County, scored 75 percent, and Rep. Rick Boucher, D-Abingdon, scored 1 percent.
