Interested Montgomery County citizens who are registered voters and are in good tax standing are invited to apply for positions on the Human Services Commission and the Planning Commission.
The Human Services Commission includes human service agencies and interested citizens that share information and support for human service groups. There are two vacancies and appointments will be for a three year term. The commission meets on the fourth Thursdays of September, December, February and May at 9:30 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Christiansburg.
The Planning Commission advises the Board of Supervisors on day-to-day planning issues and assists the county in making long range plans for growth. There are three vacancies and the appointment will be for a four year term. The commission meets the third Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. for Joint Public Hearings and every fourth Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the Montgomery County Courthouse.
