Operations at Quibell Corp.'s Roanoke beverage bottling plant are scheduled to resume May 9 after being shut down for a week following a dispute with its bottle supplier, a company attorney said Wednesday.
Zuckerman-Honickman Inc. of King of Prussia, Pa., stopped shipping bottles to Quibell several weeks ago, saying Quibell had not paid a $600,000 invoice due last fall. Negotiations with the bottle maker are continuing and "seem to be going pretty well," said Quibell attorney Andrew Goldstein.
The approximately 20 employees who work at the plant in Roanoke's Centre for Industry and Technology have been told to report to work May 9, he said. Zuckerman officials declined to comment on the dispute.
