DUDLEY LAWHORN wins his his third consecutive Late Model Stock feature at the Callaway track.
Dudley Lawhorn stormed to his third Late Model Stock victory of the season at Franklin County Speedway on Saturday night in the Nelson Ford 300.
Lawhorn beat a field of 18 cars in the 100-lap feature, but it wasn't enough to vault him into the points lead. Chris Mullins took over in the standings when he finished second.
Buster Carroll finished third, ahead of Bobby Radford and newcomer Chris Hatchett.
In the Limited Sportsman division, Mike Dudley got his second victory of the season in the 25-lap race by beating Freddy Goff, Leon Dalton, Chad Smith and Wayne Corprew.
The Classic Sportsman division was filled with crashes and by lap 15, only three cars were left in the race. Butch Nolen of Vinton finished first, Bill Lacks of Lynchburg was second and Toby Nolen of Vinton placed third.
Phil VanderVeer won in Pure Stocks ahead of Jay Peery and Red Hartman.
In the Mini Stock division, two crashes - one just after the green flag and another on lap 2 - left most of the 10-car field damaged, except for winner Chris Martin. Dennis Sloan finished second and Richard Doss was third.
Scott Foley took the Rookie class by virtue of a disqualification to Steve Cannaday for an offset camber, the same reason Foley was disqualified on April 27. Harland Dalton finished second Saturday.
Patrick Evans took first in the Any Car division.
