If the Botetourt County Board of Supervisors approves a property transaction at a special meeting this morning, the county will be able to announce that another new industry is setting up shop within its borders.
The announcement is set for 10 a.m. in the board's meeting room in the Old District Courthouse in Fincastle.
County Administrator Jerry Burgess declined to identify the company or say where it would be located. Some space is remaining in the county's EastPark Commerce Center, including a 75,000-square-foot industrial shell building. The building was developed by the county and the Greater Roanoke Valley Development Foundation.
Asked if any other announcements of new industry were on the way soon, Burgess said, "Stay tuned."
