WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH $1 MILLION?

It's time for NewsFun's annual writing contest.

Here's all you have to do:

Write an original essay about how you would spend the day if you'd just won $1 million. Tell us where you would go and what you would do, and describe your actions, thoughts and feelings. The work must be original.

You can make your essay as short as you like, but it can be no longer than 200 words. You can submit an illustration with your writing if you want. One illustration will be selected and published in the June 10 edition.

Include your name, grade, school, home address, home telephone number and school telephone number on a separate piece of paper, attached to your entry.

Mail your entry to NewsFun's Writing Contest, The Roanoke Times, P.O. Box 2491, Roanoke, Va. 24010-2491. All entries must be received by noon May 31.

Entries in the contest will be divided into four age groups: kindergarten-first grade; second-third grade; fourth-fifth grade; and sixth-eighth grade.
