ILLUSTRATION: PHOTO:  The Roanoke Stars basketball team won first place in the
          15 and under A.A.U. Girls Basketball State Championship in 
          Charlottesville in April. The team was undefeated in the tournament,
          as well as in the regional competition in Glenvar. Team members are 
          (front row, from left) Kara Norcross, Katrina Williams, Beth Carter 
          and Krystal Reeves; (back row) coach Randy Hale, Crystal Barrett, 
          Lindsey Carroll, Brandy Allen, Sarah Moore, Heather Miller, Erika 
          Hale, Hollee Franklin, Lindsey Coleman and assistant coach Mark 
          Driscoll. The team will compete in the national competition in July 
          in Nashville.
