ACC TO BREAK TIE FOR ALLIANCE

The ACC has adopted a tie-breaking procedure to determine its representative in football's Bowl Alliance.

The tie-breaker, which will be in place this season, will use head-to-head competition and rankings in the polls to determine which team is the ACC's representative for the Fiesta, Orange or Sugar bowl. Previously, the Bowl Alliance could choose any ACC team that tied for the championship.
