A metal sign from the Southern Railway passenger car named "The Pulaski" is on display at the Raymond Ratcliffe Memorial Museum at Pulaski's renovated Train Station.
It is on loan from the Fine Arts Center of the New River Valley from the Virginia Museum of Transportation in Roanoke.
The sign is now part of the museum's railroad memorabilia made available by the town's Model Railroad Club. "This group has been together for a very long time, and they have given countless hours of their time to a passion for the railroad, which is so much a part of Pulaski's history," said center Director Michael Dowell. "This sign will add a lot to the club's exhibit during the Depot Days festival at the end of June."
During the June 20-23 festival, the town of Pulaski and Fine Arts Center will sponsor Artrain, a museum on rails, with an exhibit from the Smithsonian Institution. The center will also exhibit artwork in an exhibit titled "Un-Trained: Outsider Art of the Southeastern United States."
