St. Jude Catholic Church on Tyler Road in Radford will change its Mass schedule to one service at 10 a.m. Sundays, beginning June 2. The Saturday Mass at 5:15 p.m. will remain the same. 639-5341.
Blacksburg's St. Mary's Catholic Church on Harding Avenue will celebrate Mass at 5 p.m today and at 8:45 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Sunday. The readings will be Acts of the Apostles 2:1-11; Psalms 104; 1 Corinthians 12:3-7, 12-13; and John 20:19-23.
The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the New River Valley on Gladewood Drive in Blacksburg will host Bob Underhill, who will speak on "The Challenges of Building and Maintaining Community" at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Holly Robinson of Bessemer City, N.C., will perform at Radford Wesleyan Church at 11 a.m. June 2 Robinson is a teen-ager who has recorded 14 albums and was one of the youngest musicians ever to have a song debut in the Top 40 of the Christian Music Charts with her 1993 release, "Heaven Must Be Proud." 639-4273. Joseph Edward Terrill, a senior at Christiansburg High School, is the winner of Blacksburg's Northside Presbyterian Church's first Educational Incentive Award. The $1,250 award was based on character, motivation and scholarship. Terrill will attend New River Community College and major in police science. 552-4327.
