Conner-Wickes
Tonya Wickes and Todd Conner were united in marriage on May 25, 1996 in St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Dr. Robert T. Copenhaver and Reverend Brannan Thompson were the officiating clergymen. The reception was held at Hidden Valley Country Club.
Talia Wickes served as her sister's maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Beth Goins, Carmen Smyth, Wendy Brooks, Sherry Gliniecki, Lisa Rutledge, Carla Reynolds, Kim Wingo, Lorie Bowling and Lisa Baker, all friends of the bride.
James Conner served as his son's best man. The groomsmen were Chad Conner, brother of the groom; Daryl Andrews, cousin of the groom; Brad Wilbanks, Jay Rhodes, Steve Morris, Tim Gliniecki, Brian Harley, Chris Appel and Chap Smith, all friends of the groom.
Jamie Robertson was the Acolyte. The guestbook attendants were Shannon Dowdy and Andrea Hutcherson, friends of the bride. The organist was Mr. Richard Cornett, and Mrs. Joan Wickes, aunt of the bride, was the soloist. Mr. Jerry Keeling, uncle of the bride, served as reader. Wedding coordinator was Joan Baker-Washburn.|
The bride wore an elegant ivory gown of silk shantung designed by Galina. It featured a bodice of re-embroidered alencon lace, pearls and sequins. She carried a cascade of white Roses, Lilies, double white Snap Dragons and Queen Anne's Lace.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Wickes of Salem and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Lankford of Roanoke. She is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and Radford University. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. James Conner of Roanoke. He graduated from Cave Spring High School and the University of South Carolina.
Following the wedding trip to St. Maarten, the newlyweds will live in Roanoke.

Cutler-Lambert
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Mary Elizabeth Lambert and Christopher Cutler were married April 27, 1996 in an evening candlelight ceremony in Knollwood Baptist Church. Dr. Tom Auston and the Rev. Larry Parks were the officiating clergymen.
Music was provided by organist, Michael Jenkins, Mrs. Rose Ketner, flutist, and Mrs. Devon Tendale, soloist. Candlelighter was Mr. Boyce Wilson. The guestbook was attended by Mrs. Boyce Wilson. Floral designer was Price Davis. Elizabeth Edwards of Winston-Salem, friend of the bride and groom, was flowergirl. She wore a pink organza dress and sash with pink satin rosebuds at the waist and pint satin headband.
The bride wore a candlelight satin gown with scalloped hem, featuring an appliqued bodice and skirt decorated with pearls and sequins, with a detachable chapel length train. She carried a bouquet of spring flowers in a cascade arrangement.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Lambert of Abingdon, Va. She is a graduate of James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Va. and has a Master of Fine Arts from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Ky. She si a Principal for Aon Consulting, Winston-Salem.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Cutler, Pittsboro, N.C., and Mr. and Mrs. John Woodmansee of Pine Knoll and Winston-Salem. Maternal grandmother, Mrs. Le Rhea Davis of Arden, N.C. He is a graduate of Appalachian State University, Boone, N.C. and is a Certified Network Engineer for Guilford Mills, Greensboro, N.C.
Following the ceremony, a wedding dinner was held at the Forsyth Country Club. After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple will live in Winston-Salem.
Cyrus-Wooldridge
Tamara L. Wooldridge and Michael E. Cyrus were married May 4, 1996 in Bedford Christian Church by Rev. Dr. John Dunstan. The reception was held at the fellowship hall at the church. The matron of honor was Teresa Burton of Bedford, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Jane Cyrus of Lynchburg, sister of the groom, Tina Anderson of Lynchburg, niece of the groom,. Michelle Andrew of Bedford, sister of the bride, and Carol Salmon of Danville, friend of the bride. Flowergirl was Alora Wilson of Lynchburg, great-niece of the groom. The best man was Jimmy Cyrus of Lynchburg, brother of the groom. The ushers were Richard Cyrus of Roanoke, brother of the groom, Morris Cyrus of Lynchburg, brother of the groom, William Anderson, nephew of the groom, and Michael Burton, brother-in-law of the bride. Ringbearers were Justin Burton of Bedford, nephew of the bride, and K. W. Lakes of Lynchburg great-nephew of the groom. The guestbook was attended by Ann Marie Patterson of Bedford.|
The bride is a daughter of Homer & Rushie Wooldridge of Bedford. She is a graduate of Liberty High School and National Business College and is employed by Roses Discount Store in Altavista. The bridegroom, son of Mary Cyrus of Lynchburg and the late Rev. Edward Cyrus, is a graduate of Heritage High School. He is employed by Roses Discount Store in Lynchburg. The newlyweds will live in Bedford after the wedding trip to Daytona, Florida.
Dooley-Beckner
Barbara Lynn Beckner and Scott Brian Dooley were married May 25, 1996 in Community Advent Christian Church. A reception was held in the fellowship hall. The maid of honor was Tanya Beskar. The bridesmaid was Diane Beckner. Flowergirl was Amanda Dooley. Best man was Scott Manning. Ushers were Butch Wright and Joseph Beckner, II. Ringbearer was Curtis Blankenship, II. The bride is a daughter of Joseph and Ann Beckner. The bridegroom is a son of Thomas and Lana Dooley. The newlyweds will live in Montvale, Va. after the wedding trip to the Bahama's.
Doss-Hartwell
Andrea Nicole Hartwell and Christopher Wayne Doss were married May 25, 1996 at Barnhardt Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Mabry officiating. The reception was held in the Fellowship Hall.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.. Lewis Hartwell of Roanoke. She is a graduate of William Bryd High School and is employed as an assistant manager of Macado's, Grand Pavilion. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Doss of Roanoke. He is also a graduate of William Byrd High Schooland is employed by Overnight Trucking Company.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
Kim Monsour of Thaxton, sister of the groom, served as matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Summer Hannabas of Roanoke, friend of the bride; Alexandra Hanes of Spartansburg, S.C., and Summer Lamb of Galax, Va., both cousins of the bride. The guestbook was attended by Kathy Davis of Winston Salem, N.C.
Gary Doss served as his son's best man. Jimmy Dye of Roanoke, long time friend of the groom; and Don Davis of Winston Salem, N.C., served as groomsmen.
The ringbearer was Patrick Monsour, nephew of the groom and the flower girl was Jordan Lamb of Galax, cousin of the bride.
After their honeymoon, the couple will reside in Roanoke.
Campbell-Emani
Sanam Emani and David Campbell were married May 19, 1996 in Hunting Hills County Club. The officiating clergyman was the Rev. Jim Fischer. The reception was held at Hunting Hills Country Club.
Karen Roddefer-Evans, best friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. The matron of honor was Elaine Swett, sister of the groom. Telford Locklear, best friend of the groom, served as best man. The ushers was Jimmy Dimetriades, friend. Photography was provided by Jim Markey.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mohsen Emani. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee School of Medicine and is employed by Carilion Community Hospital of Roanoke Valley. The groom is a son of Mrs. Lucille Campbell and the late Mr. Alvin Campbell. He attended East Carolina School of Medicine and is employed by Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
