ROANOKE REGIONAL ECONOMIC INDICATORS

The number of vehicles entering the Blue Ridge Parkway in the Roanoke District increased 11.7 percent in April from a year ago. Parkway officials counted 112,712 vehicles in the district last month against 100,877 a year earlier.

Most of the vehicles in the Roanoke district - 50,378 of them - entered via Virginia 24 east of Vinton.
