SINGERS SOUGHT FOR CHORUS

Singers of all ages are invited to perform with the Celebration Chorus at Blacksburg's 4th of July festivities. In its seventh year, the Celebration Chorus performs with the accompaniment of the Blacksburg Community Band. It is open to singers of any age.

Sign-up sheets and rehearsal schedules are available at the Blacksburg Parks and Recreation office. Rehearsals start Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Blacksburg Community Center. This year, the chorus and band will be joined by the 29th Infantry Division Band of the National Guard out of Roanoke.

Kevin Fenton will return as director of the chorus. Fenton is director of Virginia Tech's Concert Choir and the Meistersingers madrigal ensemble. Seth Williamson, a classical music show host for WVTF radio, will narrate the program. For more information, call 961-1135.
