"One thing that comes to mind, compared to other classes, is that we're very friendly," Wright said. "But if you can pull out a thesaurus and find a word that doesn't sound as dorky as friendly, that'd be good."

How about amicable, neighborly, congenial or sympathetic?

"We're just really involved with school as a whole - all the clubs and activities. And we're by far the most school spirited of all the classes in the past four years," he said proudly.

Wright, along with almost 50 of his classmates, will head to Virginia Tech next year. That can be a difficult choice when the campus is practically in their back yard.

"As a sophomore or junior, I made a solemn oath that I will not go to Tech," he said. "But when it comes right down to it, it really is a good educational opportunity."

Many of his friends are going to school out of state, but Wright figures they'll keep in touch. Two or three years from now, he said, someone will have a party and everyone will come and catch up.

Ten years from now, he said, his class will still talk about teachers and classes and the "I can't believe we did that" moments.
