HAMILTON TO SIGN DEAL AT FERRUM

Ferrum junior Jimmy Hamilton, who was drafted in the seventh round of the major-league baseball amateur draft by the Cleveland Indians, will sign a contract with the team on Sunday at Ferrum.

Hamilton is the 22nd Ferrum player, and the seventh since 1988, to play professionally. He had a 12-2 record with two saves, 118 strikeouts, and a 2.73 earned run average in 108 2/3 innings in 1996.
