A $9.3 million-dollar renovation at Atlantic City International Airport in New Jersey has resulted in a passenger terminal twice its former size, with expanded services. The airport is in Egg Harbor Township, about 10 miles from the Boardwalk and gambling casinos, adjacent to Exit 9 on the Atlantic City Expressway.
Three new enclosed boarding bridges swing between two gates each, which means that passengers no longer need to cross open Tarmac when getting on and off. The airport had three gates before the renovation, and will have seven by mid-July.
The restaurant has been enlarged and moved to the new second floor. Windows overlooking the airfield have been added, along with about 600 seats for waiting passengers and extra space for concessions and airline offices.
