BAILEY, Emma Lee, 63, of 3215 Hillcrest Avenue, N.W., Roanoke, died Friday, June 7, 1996, at her residence. Born on December 16, 1932, in Tazewell County, she was a member of the Church of God in Vinton. She is survived by her husband, Morris Edward Bailey of Roanoke, two sons, three daughters, four brothers, four sisters, eighteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. BOCOCK, Jeffrey Alan, 52, of Roanoke, passed away Friday, June 7, 1996, at his home. He was a charter member of Rosalind Hills Baptist Church. Mr. Bocock was an industrial chemical salesman and a U. S. Navy veteran. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph E. CREASY, Dorothy Secrest, 81, of Roanoke and formerly of Bedford County, passed away Saturday, June 8, 1996. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard W. Creasy, and a granddaughter, Rhonda M. CULLOP, Lessie Belle Hutchins, 105, widow of Grover C. Cullop, died Saturday, June 8, 1996, at her home in Marion. She was a lifelong member of Marion Baptist Church. Mrs. Cullop was born in Grayson County on October 5, 1890, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John H utchins. She is survived by one nephew, Phleet Hutchins, of Roanoke; three nieces, Emma Nelson of Marion, Etta May Taylor of Chesapeake and Wanda Teaster of Trenton, Ohio; several great nieces and great nephews, and a very devoted companion, Kathleen Parks of Marion. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 10, 1996, at 2 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel, with Dr. William A. Slater and the Rev. Sam Crews officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. INGRAM, Loretta Elizabeth, 58, of Roanoke, departed this life Wednesday, June 5, 1996, at the Lakeview Retirement Center in Roanoke. She was born April 8, 1938, in Radford, the daughter of the late James Luther Ingram and Mary Haley Ingram. She was a graduate of Radford University, and was a former employee of the Roanoke City School System. She was a teacher in the system for many years. Loretta was a member of the Mt. Olive Gospel Tabernacle Church. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Ingram. She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Mrs. Marisa Jay Patterson (Quiton); five brothers, MacArther (Pam) Ingram, James (Drucilla) Ingram, Fred (Yvonne) Ingram, Charles (Mary) Ingram, and Thomas Ingram, all of Roanoke; one grandson, Taylor Redmond; goddaughter, Tammy Shepherd, and one sister-in-law, Dorothy Ingram. PHILLIPS, Frank L., 72, of Roanoke County, died Saturday, June 8, 1996. He was well known in the fur industry for many years and was affiliated with New York Auction Company. In later years, he was general manager of the R. M. Frank Company. Mr. Phillips was a veteran of World War II, serving as Staff Sergeant and Squadron Leader in the European Theatre. He saw action in the Battle of the Bulge, and was in a group that released Holocaust victims from Buchenwald. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Phillips; his mother, Louise W. Phillips, and a sister, Madelyn Palk. Surviving is his wife, Lucy E. Phillips; sons, Ronald Phillips of Long Island, N.Y., Philip Phillips and wife Elaine of West Haverstraw, N.Y.; granddaughter, Christy Ann Phillips of Mt. Pocono, Pa.; stepdaughter, Linda Lacot and husband Major A. Lacot of Bellevue, Neb.; stepson, Richard Martinez, and three stepgrandchildren, Dennis, Gregory and Jacqueline Lacot. POINDEXTER, Lewis Tyrone, 37, of Roanoke, passed away Friday, June 7, 1996. He was preceded in death by his father, Dazelle Poindexte r; one brother, Eugene Poindexter, and one sister, Sandra Poindexter. SAUL, Bobby Lee, 65, of Roanoke, died Friday, June 7, 1996. Born in Roanoke, he was the son of the late DeMoss H. and Ada Flora Saul. He retired from Appalachian Power Company after 41 years of service. He was a lifetime member of Central Church of the Brethren, where he served as a board member. He was a member of the Roanoke Bowling Association for the past 35 years, and was responsible for directing and organizing the Bowling Green League at Hilltop Lanes. He also will be remembered as a volunteer with the Sandlot programs in the Williamson Road area. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Dorothy Cornett Saul of Roanoke; children and their spouses, Jeffrey Alan Saul of Tampa, Fla., Nancy Saul and Brian J. Lachewitz of Fairless Hills, Pa., William J. and Renee Saul of Winston-Salem, NC; grandchildren, Jacob A. and Joshua A. Lachewitz, Fairless Hills, Pa., and William J. ROGERS, Clinton D., 84, of Kimballton, died Saturday, June 8, 1996. Mr. Rogers was a veteran of World War II and was retired from the Hoechst-Celanese Corporation. He was born at Kimballton on November 21, 1911, and was a son of the late Jepther Texas Rogers and Glennie Eaton Rogers. Besides his parents, he was preced ed in death by his wife, Mae Crews Rogers, and a daughter, Glenna Faye Rogers. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Alice and Thomas Dunbar of Christiansburg; one sister, Miss Argie Rogers of Kimballton, and two grandchildren, Megan and Daniel Dunbar of Christiansburg. SMITH, Margaret Morgan, 86, of Wytheville, died Saturday, June 8, 1996, in Wythe County Community Hospital. She was born in Dublin, the daughter of the late Rubin and Valeria Bailey Morgan. She was a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church and a graduate of Radford College. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Smith; a sister, Hazel Gibson, and a brother Dr. Earl Morgan. She is survived by a son, James G. Smith of Wytheville; two grandchildren, Laura Smith McLester of Rockingham, N.C., and James G. Smith, Jr. of Wytheville, and three great-grandchildren. SMITH Rev. Roy Douglas, 70, of Vinton, went to be with the Lord he loved on the morning of Saturday, June 8, 1996. For 34 years, he was a faithful pastor, serving the Lord at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, Mayflower Hills Baptist Church, Cave Rock Baptist Church, Mountain View Baptist Church and Seneca Baptist Church. Most recently, he was an associate pastor at Rainbow Forest Baptist Church. He also worked for the Commonwealth of Virginia as a health inspector for 25 years. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mildred Hudson Smith; a much loved daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Gary East of Vinton; two wonderful grandsons, Matthew and Stephen East; a sister-in-law, Mary H. Thaxton, and a brother-in-law and wife, Oren E. and Myriam Hudson. Funeral services will be held at the Rainbow Forest Baptist Church at 12 noon Tuesday, June 11, 1996, with the Rev. J. B. Parker, the Rev. Ken Butterworth, the Rev. Mark Ellis and the Rev. Tony Price officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. Born on October 7, 1912, at Ballard, W.Va., he was the s on of the late Charles W. and Martha Neel Thompson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Mann Thompson; a daughter, Geraldine Couch; a son, Charles Henry Thompson; two sisters, and two brothers. Mr. Thompson was a member of First United Methodist Church of Rich Creek, and a member of Midway Ruritan Club. He was a retired employee of Hoechst-Celanese Corporation.
