Blacksburg High School added a second salutatorian, William Lee, after a class summary was prepared for Saturday's New River Current. He joins Anna George for the honors.

Virginia R. Kirk of Christiansburg wrote a letter to the editor in Sunday's New River Current about the the "smart" road. The middle initial of her name was listed incorrectly following the letter.

A total of seven astronauts, including teacher Christa McAuliffe, died in the 1986 Challenger explosion. A June 5 story on graduation memories incorrectly reported the number of astronauts killed.
