6-YEAR-OLD GIRL STRUCK, KILLED BY SCHOOL BUS

A 6-year-old girl was killed Wednesday when she walked in front of a Halifax County school bus, state police said.

A state police dispatcher in Appomattox identified the victim as Tiffany Shanell Harris of South Boston.

The girl was killed when she walked in front of a bus about 12:35 p.m. on Virginia 744, police said.

No other details of the accident were available immediately.
