Success in sports were a big part of this year's senior class, said Lashawnda Dickerson. Several teams advanced to regional and state competition, including the football, basketball and baseball teams. Dickerson runs track.

She describes her class as being close - she would know. She has attended school with most of her classmates since the fourth grade.

Looking into the future, Dickerson said that at the class's 10th reunion people most likely will "talk about football games ...that's where they had the most fun."

Dickerson will attend Radford University in the fall.
