MAN ROBBED AT GUNPOINT

Police are searching for a man in connection with a robbery outside the Craig Manor apartment complex Wednesday night in Salem.

A male resident of the complex was approached from behind by a man with a handgun about 9 p.m. The suspect said, "I want your wallet," then reached into the man's back pocket and pulled out the wallet, Salem Police Sgt. T.N. Guthrie said.

The wallet later was found in the apartment complex's front yard.Police would not go into detail on what was stolen from the wallet.

The man was last seen fleeing on foot.
