Roanoke County DARE and the county Parks and Recreation

Department are sponsoring two weeklong day camps, one this week and

the other from July 17 to 21, at the county's Camp Roanoke. The

program, for rising seventh-graders, includes high and low rope

courses, canoeing, fire education, gun safety, drug awareness,

games, arts and crafts, and a hiking tour of the Spring Hollow

Reservoir. 1. Amanda Bishop, 11, (top left) climbs rope netting in
