The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office will be rerouting its telephone lines during the early morning hours Tuesday and recommends nonemergency calls be made after 6 a.m.
According to a news release, the office's phone lines will be down from 2 to 6 a.m. Only the 911 lines will be working during the four hours.
Anyone who calls 911 and is unable to get through, should call 382-3131 for assistance, the release said.
Sheriff Doug Marrs said he apologized for any inconvenience the shutdown would cause, but routine maintenance was needed on the lines to better serve the county's citizens.
