The James Madison University administration building has been closed because of asbestos particles in the air.
School officials said Wilson Hall was closed Thursday when asbestos readings of the air inside the building remained at unacceptable levels for a third straight day. A contractor is removing asbestos from the walls and ceilings of the building's auditorium.
The school moved about 75 employees from the building, which houses a number of administrative offices, including those of President Ronald Carrier.
The building could reopened as early as Monday, depending on the results of air quality tests, officials said.
