Photographic art by Michael Harrington is being exhibited at Casimir Company in downtown Pulaski through August.
Harrington will attend a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the store. He is a Smyth County native with a studio in Marion.
As a photojournalist for the Smyth County News, he traveled the back roads of Southwest Virginia visiting and photographing its people and their way of life. The result is his "Appalachian Folk" collection, a visual black-and-white photographic record reflecting his respect and admiration for people of the region.
His work has also been published in magazines, regional newspapers and wire services. Several of his portraiture works are also on display in Pulaski, with all prints are for sale through Casimir Company.
