         The Independence Day closings box in Tuesday's paper said Roanoke 
      residentia trash collection for Thursday will be collected Friday. It 
      should also have said that Friday's routes will be collected Saturday.

      Some information was incorrect in the independence Day closings box  in 
      Tuesday's paper. Roanoke residential recycling Thursday B service  will 
      be collected Friday. Department of Motor Vehicles offices will be  
      closed Thursday but will be open Friday and Saturday. Alcohol Beverage  
      Control Stores will be closed Thursday.

Roanoke: Residential routes: No collection Thursday; Thursday routes will be collected Friday.

Residential recycling: Monday B service will be collected Friday. Friday B routes will be collected on Saturday.

Commercial refuse: No collection Thursday; Thursday routes collected the following Monday.

Central business district night collection: Normal schedule all week.

Roanoke County: Thursday routes will be collected Friday and Saturday

Salem: Thursday route will be picked up on Friday.

Vinton: Thursday route will be picked up on Friday.
