Deborah Taylor, principal at Northwood Elementary, is returning to the classroom as a teacher next year.
Newbern Elementary Principal Ned Olinger has accepted a position as principal of a larger elementary school in the Roanoke area, although he is expected to continue living in the New River Valley.
