CHRISTIANSBURG INSTITUTE

The Christiansburg Institute will commemorate its 30th year of closing Friday and Saturday at the Best Western Red Lion Inn, Blacksburg.

Activities will begin Friday at 7 p.m. with a banquet and guest speaker. Saturday at 7 a.m. golf, tennis, bowling, horseshoes and other outdoor fun will commence. An awards luncheon will begin at noon.

At 9 p.m. a concert featuring Famous Impressions and Band of the 1960s will begin.

The donation for the weekend is $50.
