TRUCK DRIVER KILLED ON I-81

A truck driver was killed Sunday after his tractor-trailer flipped in Rockbridge County.

Duane Hubbell, 32, of Jackson was southbound on Interstate 81 one-half mile south of Virginia 606 about 4 a.m. when the accident occurred, said state police Trooper E.A. Fischer.

Hubbell swerved to avoid debris, ran off the right side of the road and struck an embankment and guardrail before his tractor-trailer overturned, Fischer said. |- MICHAEL CROAN
