A 77-year-old man who contracted for sex with a teen-age Virginia girl over the Internet faces up to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty in federal court.
During a court appearance July 5, Julian Lazrus of Rockville, Md., admitted trying to pay a 14-year-old girl to have sex.
He used the America Online computer service and the Internet to correspond with an undercover FBI agent he thought would arrange the sexual encounter, federal prosecutors said.
On June 6, Lazrus traveled from Maryland to an Arlington hotel, where he met the agent. Lazrus was arrested after he paid the agent $180. He pleaded guilty to crossing state lines to engage in a sexual act with a juvenile.
