NOW, WHOEVER SAID THAT BARBECUE SAUCE HAS TO BE RED?

First there was white chocolate, then white chili and white pizza. Now, there's white barbecue sauce!

It's made with apples, which usually aren't associated with the fruits of summer. But that's good, because you'll want to make the following applesauce-based baste for cold-weather meals, prepared indoors, too.

Peaches and berries usually are linked with summer. And even though, thanks to technology, they are now available almost year-round, there's no denying that they're at their best right now. They're even better when grilled up for a satisfying, low-calorie, fat-free meal finale.

So, when you heat up the grill this season, don't forget fresh vegetables and fruits. For a free booklet of other tasty ways to put more fruits and vegetables in your diet, write to the American Institute for Cancer Research, Department FF, Washington, D.C. 20069.
