Haynes Trailer Park residents were notified last week by park owner Thomas Haynes that in May and June their water supply did not comply with the bacteriological levels set by state regulations.
None of the park's 110 residents has fallen ill, Haynes said. Of the 45 lots, only five are connected to town water. The remaining 40 lots are served by the park's water system.
The park is working with state health officials to determine the source of the contamination. A defective back-flow preventer has been replaced and the well and distribution system were disinfected. The contamination was found during routine testing of the park's water.
