KEITH DANIEL BISHOP of Salem was one of 75 recipients of the State Farm Companies Foundation Scholarship. Winners receive $3,000 to $8,000 annually, based on test scores, academic record, extracurricular activities, personal essay and counselor recommendation.
Bishop, son of Donald and Margaret Bishop, plans to attend the University of Virginia to study biology.
LYNCHBURG COLLEGE has awarded degrees to two Roanoke residents.

JEFF BRENEMAN of Roanoke has been named to the dean's list at Cedarville (Ohio) College. Breneman, son of John and Lois Breneman of Roanoke, is a mechanical engineering major and a 1993 graduate of Roanoke Valley Christian High School. He received the Nehemiah Engineering Award, a scholarship award, during the Honors Day chapel service at the school.
THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA at Greensboro awarded degrees to Benita R. Vancleave, master of library and information services, and Elizabeth L. Wedemeyer, cum laude, bachelor of science in human development and family studies. Both are from Roanoke.
LAURIE LOOPE, daughter of Linda and Jim Loope of Roanoke County, has received a master's degree in church social work from the Carver School of Social Work at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky.
