ARRINGTON, Ella Linkenhoker, 84, of Hawthorne Rd., N.W., Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 9, 1996, while a resident of Camelot Hall, Salem. Surviving are her husband, Calvin B. ``Woolie Booger"" Arrington Sr., Roanoke; sons and daughters-in-law, Calvin B. Jr. and Janet Faye Arrington, Vinton, George C. and Kristin Arrington, Elgin, S.C.; four grandchildren, Regina A. Meador, Roanoke, Lisa G. Arrington, Thaxton, Lawrence C. Arrington and Troy W. Arrington both of Elgin, S.C.; great-grandson, Christopher Arrington; two sisters, Virginia L. Wimmer and Lyndall L. Wimmer, both of Baltimore, Md. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday, July 12, 1996, from Oakey's North Chapel. The Rev. John J. Hamric, Pastor of Airlee Court Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Oakey's North Chapel.

AYERS, Marjoric W., 75, of Stuart, Va, died Monday, June 8, 1996. Funeral will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home, Stuart, Va.

BOOZE, Jacob Dallas Jr., (``J.D.''), 63, of 1030 McCormick Blvd., Clifton Forge, died Tuesday, July 9, 1996, at his residence. He was born on May 1, 1933 in Eagle Rock, son of the late Jacob D. Booze Sr. and Alma Austin Booze. He was a retired steel worker for Valley Steel Corp. of Salem, a member of the Eagle Rock Baptist Church, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Wanda Nicely Russell Booze of Clifton Forge; three sons, Jacob Dallas Booze III of Iron Gate, Douglas V. Russell of Covington, Gregory V. Booze of Clifton Forge; four sisters, Mrs. Cortis (Margaret) Linthicum of Eagle Rock, Mrs. Lucille Biggs of Covington, Mrs.. James (Janet) Craig of Troutville, and Mrs. Joseph (Billie Sue) Liptrap of Daleville; two granddaughters; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, William Jerome ``Jerry'' Booze. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with Rev. Roger Bush officiating. Interment will follow in the Central Advent Christian Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home, 405 Alleghany St., Clifton Forge.

CALDWELL, Daniel Francis, 75, of White Gate, died Tuesday, July 9, 1996, in a Pearisburg hospital. He was born September 9, 1920, at Poplar Hill, the son of the late Claude Herman and Nancy Janie Sadler Caldwell . He was preceded in death by his wife, Nannie Mae Caldwell; a brother, Marvin Caldwell; a sister, Dolly Louise Caldwell. He operated Caldwell Service Station, was a member of Wabash Lodge #189, I.O.O.F., and was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by one son, J. D. Caldwell, White Gate; two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Mary Lee Caldwell, Bland, Betty and John Dewey Parcell, White Gate; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Russell officiating. Graveside rites by Wabash Lodge #189, I.O.O.F. in the Sadler Cemetery Cemetery, Poplar Hill. EANES, Lucy Margaret, 67, died Tuesday, July 9, 1996, in Fairborn, Ohio. She was formerly of Roanoke. She is survived by three children, Don R. Vaught of Richmond, Va, Lynda V. Spangler of Littleton, Colo, and Joseph C. Vaught of Myrtle Beach, S.C. She is also survived by her two sisters Helen E. Overstreet of Vinton, and Ruby E. Lovern of Roanoke. Ms. Eanes was preceded by her father and mother, John C. and Fannie E. Eanes, and brother, J. Herbert Eanes. She has five grandchildren. MOORE, Jean Wilson, 83, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, July 9, 1996. Mrs. Moore was a long time member of St. John's Episcopal Church, a sustaining member of the Junior League of Roanoke Valley, a retired member of the Board of Greenvale Nursery and was the founder of Jean Moore Frame Shop. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer S. and Sallie Hilliard Wilson; and her brother, Homer S. Wilson Jr. Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Temple Craig Moore Sr.; her sons and daughters-in-law, Temple Craig, Jr. and Martha Solomon Moore, Alexandria; W. P. (Bill) and Wendy Wells Moore, Thomas Christopher and Forrest Dickinson Moore, all of Roanoke; her grandchildren, Ryland Bennett Moore, Martha Craige Moore, Wilson Parker Moore, Temple Craige Moore II, Spencer Harding Moore, Thomas Christopher Moore Jr. A memorial service will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church Friday, July 12, at noon, with the Rev. W. Frank Allen and the Rev. Carlotta B. Cochran officiating. Inurnment will be private in St. John's Columbarium. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Greenvale Nursery or St. John's Episcopal Church in her memory. The family will receive close friends following the memorial service at her home. REEVES, Steve, 80, of Pulaski, died Wednesday morning, July 10, 1996 in Roanoke, Va. He was born in Cripple Creek on March 1, 1916 and was the son of the late James E. Reeves and Martha Reeves. He was a retired employee of R.A.A.P. of Radford and was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Ellen Reeves. Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Ann Carner, Radford; two sons, Edward Randolph Reeves, Pulaski, Steve Reeves Jr., Roanoke; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren. RODGERS, Charles Hoover, 65, of Wythevill e, died Tuesday, July 9, 1996, in the Wythe County Community Hospital. He was employed by Cummins Mid-Atlantic in Roanoke for 23 years, and a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Wytheville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Remus B. and Alice Scott Rodgers; two brothers, Bascom and R. B. Rodgers Jr.; and a sister, Viva Burr. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Betty Jean Umberger Rodgers of Wytheville; a brother and sister-in-law, Beryl ``Bo'' and June Rodgers, Mesa, Ariz.; two sisters, Janet R. Walker, Salem, Thelma Scott Young ,Martinsville; two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth S. Rodgers, Wytheville, Anna R. Rodgers, Beckley, W.Va. Three nephews and six nieces also survive. RODGERS, Virginia L. Taylor, 77, of New York City, N.Y., passed away Sunday, July 7, 1996. She was born in Moneta, daughter of the late Noel and Hattie Murphy Taylor. Survivors include one daughter, Annette Livingston; one sister, Kathleen T. Stuetley, both of New York; two brothers, Elhieu Taylor, Keystone, W.Va. and Dr. Noel C. Taylor, Roanoke; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends in Roanoke and Bedford. Funeral services will be held Friday, noon, at the High Street Baptist Church.
