Ranch House names new manager

DUBLIN - In the 1970s and 1980s, Sharon S. Graham worked at the Ranch House Restaurant as a waitress. Now, she manages the place.

The restaurant, located next to but not connected with the Travel Inn Motel, had been a popular eating place in Dublin for years but closed down at the end of last year. Its owners were eager to reopen it, but had to find a manager first.

Graham, who had worked as an assistant manager at other local restaurants, had moved back into the area and proved to be just the person they needed.

The restaurant now handles private parties, catering, banquets, and is the meeting place for the Dublin and Radford Ruritan Clubs. It has also started delivering lunches to workers in the Dublin Industrial Park down the road, "and anywhere else," she said.

Restaurant hours are 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with Sunday being 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. A Sunday buffet offers homemade soups and salads and a 10 percent discount for those showing bulletins from their church services.
