Melanie Nichole Horne
17 year old daughter of Ren G. Horne, Roanoke, graduated from Wm. Byrd High School, June 12, 1996. She was Captain of the Colorguard and a former Captain of the Star City Fort Winterguard. Melanie has joined the Army Reserves as an Administrative Specialist and will depart on July 16, for basic training at Ft. Jackson, S.C. Upon her return, she will attend college locally. Her family is very proud of her and extend their support, love and prayers as she takes on new challenges.
