      Published correction ran on July 17, 1996.
         The veterinarian who broke ground for a new animal hospital in Dublin
      last week is Dr. E. Vann Covey. Her name was misspelled in a Saturday 
      story and Tuesday correction in the New River Current.

The dog in a photo in the Saturday New River Current with Dr. Vann Convey, a veterinarian planning a new pet hospital in Dublin, was her own 13-year-old springer spaniel, Buffy. A caption gave an incorrect canine identification.

Information on the Christiansburg parks and recreation department's candlemaking and low-fat eating classes can be obtained at 382-2349. The number was incorrect in Sunday's Current Events calendar.
