FOOD PRESERVATION WORKSHOPS PLANNED

Learn how to properly can, freeze and preserve at several food preservation workshops being offered by the Roanoke and Roanoke County offices of Virginia Cooperative Extension.

If you have a canner with a pressure gauge, bring your lid for testing. You need not bring the kettle.

Sessions, lasting about 90 minutes, will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Preston Park; 10 a.m. July 25 at Craig Avenue Center; and 10 a.m. Aug. 1 at Brambleton Center. There is no charge.
