MONTGOMERY DEMOCRATS TO HOLD PICNIC

Rep. Rick Boucher, D-Abingdon, will be the featured speaker at the Montgomery County Democratic Party's summer picnic July 27. Boucher is running for re-election against Republican candidate Patrick Muldoon of Giles County.

The 5 p.m. picnic will be held at the Montgomery County park off U.S. 460 in northern Christiansburg.

State Sen. Madison Marye, D-Shawsville, and Del. Jim Shuler, D-Blacksburg, also will speak.

The picnic is potluck with $5 requested per family or $3 per individual to cover expenses.
