ALLMAN, Kenneth E., 80, of Radford, died Sunday, July 14, 1996, at his home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home Chapel, Christiansburg, conducted by Rev. Warren H. Wattenbarger, with burial in the Organ Cave Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Greenbrier County, W.Va. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or Central United Methodist Church. Arrangements are being handled by the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg.

ATKINSON, Elene T., 70, of Christiansburg, died Monday, July 15, 1996, in a Salem hospital. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday from the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Richard H. Horne, with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are being handled by Richardson-Horne.

BELCHER, Ottie E., 79, of 105 Doak St., Bluefield, Va., died Tuesday, July 16, 1996 in a Roanoke, Va. hospital. He was born in Falls Mills, Va. and was a son of the late Charles Graham and Mary Nettie Wagner Belcher. He was retired manager from Pet, Inc. after many years of service and was also retired from First Union National Bank in Bluefield, Va. He was an active member of the Virginia Avenue United Methodist Church in Bluefield, Va. He served in the Army Infantry during WWII and was a P.O.W. in Germany. He was a member of the V.F.W. Memorial Post #9696, a member of the Harman Lodge #222 A.F. & A.M., the Bluefield Elks Lodge #269, served on the Board of the Bluefield Union Mission and was a member of the Southwest Virginia Chapter of Ex-Prisoners of War. Survivors include his wife, Pauline Shawver Belcher; daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Mike Francisco Roanoke; grandchildren, Benjamin and Elizabeth Francisco; brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Willie Mae Belcher, Plano, Texas; sisters, Mrs. Paul (Mary Ann) Jackson, Roanoke, Mrs. Robert (Ruby) Pitzer, Myrtle Beach, S.C., Mrs. Joe (Shirley) Pacifico, Charleston, W.Va. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Virginia Avenue United Methodist Church in Bluefield, Va., with the Rev. Larry Ramey officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, W.Va. Graveside services will be conducted by the Harman Lodge #222 A.F. & A.M. Friends may call today between 7 and 9 p.m. at the Dudley Memorial Mortuary in Bluefield, Va. Donations may be made to the Virginia Avenue United Methodist Church or to a favorite charity.

BOOTHE, Archie M. Jr., of Johnson City, Tenn., formerly of Roanoke, passed away Sunday, July 14, 1996. Mr. Boothe was an organist, a church musician, a composer, and choir director. He was also a teacher of music with degrees from Shenandoah University and Longwood College. He retired from his position as teacher of music in elementary schools in the city of Staunton school system in December of 1978. He was a resident of the National Health Care Center in Johnson City, Tenn. for the final six years of his life. Mr. Boothe is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Howard P. and Ernestine E. Boothe, Greeneville, Tenn.; a nephew, David A. Boothe, Palatka, Fla; a niece, Mrs. Robert McNamee, Carrollton, Ga; four grandnieces; and 1 grandnephew. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 1996 at Oakey's North Chapel with Reverend Harold C. Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and from 9-11 a.m. Thursday at Oakey's North Chapel.

BRAMMER, Florence Wood, 85, of Blacksburg, the widow of Hugh Brammer, departed this life Thursday, July 4, 1996. Survivors include her daughter, Frances Gallimore of Emporia; her son, Earl Brammer of Ravenswood, W.Va.; two grandsons; one granddaughter; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ella Deeds of Blacksburg, Edith Thomas of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Dorsey Wood and Richard Wood, both of Christiansburg. She was preceded in death by her son, Ernest Leslie Brammer. A graveside service wi ll be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 18, at the North Fork Cemetery in Ellett. BROWN, Kiven Leroy, (``Gee-Man""), 30, of Roanoke, passed away Sunday, July 14, 1996. Survivors include his mother, Sophronia M. Brown; his wife, Diane Pannell-Brown; one son, Thomas; two daughters, Attache' and Jessica; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, William A. (Barbara) Brown, Thomas E. (Shelia) Brown Jr. and Joe L. Brown; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon L. (Robert) Claytor, all of Roanoke, and Barbara A. (Jeffery) Tillman of Grifton, N.C.; one uncle, Albert (``Chilly"") Childress of Roanoke, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. COFFEY, Merl Radford, 70, of Roanoke, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 1996. Mr. Coffey was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Bedford. He attended Melrose Baptist Church for several years. He is survived by his wife, Elsie Forbes Coffey; brother and sister-in-law, Samuel J. and Thelma Coffey; sisters and brother-in-law, Mrs. Elaine Coffey Cocke, Mrs . Lois Coffey and Maynard Noell; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Linda Sue Long, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Amos. HARBOUR, Myrtle Inez Clifton, 51, of Route 4, Stuart, died Monday night, July 15, 1996, at her home after a long illness. Born March 7, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Martin Kelly Clifton and the late Lessie Perdue Clifton. She was retired from the United Elastic Corporation with 31 years service, and was a member of the Jack's Creek Primitive Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Mr. John Lloyd Harbour of the home; two sons and their wives, Larry and Monica Harbour of Kernersville, N.C., and Steve and Jiniffer Harbour of Dayton, Ohio; one brother, Elywen Clifton of Salem; and an aunt, Mrs. Clelia Shepherd of Roanoke; three grandchildren, Lauren, Ashley, and Troy Harbour. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Howell Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with burial in the Jack's Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. HARMON, Alvin Taylor, 87, of Floyd, passed away Monday, July 15, 1996, at Richfield Nursing Center in Salem. Mr. Harmon was a retired carpenter and farmer. Surviving are two daughters, Wanda H. Baker and husband, Dr. Leroy Baker, Zionsville, Ind., Vesta H. Phiel and husband, John Phiel, Arnold, Md.; two granddaughters, Carol Jolee Baker, Cheryl Lyn Baker, Indianapolis, Ind. JONES, Peachie Flowers, 78, of Roanoke, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 1996. She was born in Shawsville, the daughter of the late Earnest and Arletta Flowers. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Jones. She was a member of Central Baptist Church. She leaves to mourn their loss a daughter and son-in-law, Bernice and Wesley Watson; two grandchildren, Denise (Andre) Smith and Martina Watson; one great-grandson, Wesley W. Watson; stepmother, Mrs. Bessie Flowers; and a devoted friend, Mable Johnson, all of Roanoke; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Friday 2 p.m. at the Central Baptist Church. Rev. Joseph Keaton will officiate, with the interment in Williams Memorial Park. PERKINS, Mildred Huffman, 77, of Natural Bridge, died Monday, July 15, 1996, in the Stonewall Jackson Hospital. Mrs. Perkins wa s born September 8, 1918, in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Grigsby Paxton Huffman and Cora Belle Powell Huffman. She was a member of the High Bridge Presbyterian Church, and retired from the U.S. Forest Service. She was the widow of Charles Wickham Perkins. Surviving are three daughters, Dixie M. Melquist, Fairfax, Wanda P. Manuel, Roanoke, Sharon P. Rusche, Roanoke; one sister, Ora Belle Huffman, Natural Bridge; four grandchildren, Charles F. Manuel III, Julia F. Manuel, Samuel F. Nixon III, Robert Kirk Melquist. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 1996, at the High Bridge Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Glenn M. Coleman officiating. RASTLE, Glenn G., 87, of New Castle, formerly of St. Clara, Doddridge County, W.Va., died on Monday evening, July 15, 1996. He was born in Zona Roane County on August 4, 1908. He was the son of the late Joseph H. and Cora Krenn Rastle. Mr. Rastle was a member of the St. Johannes Evangelical Lutheran Church at St. Clara, where he was a former church counsel member. He was a farmer and breeder of Angus cattle for over fifty years. Retired from Doddridge County Farm Services, he was active in the community and served as a Four-H leader for over thirty years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nina Gray Rastle. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-laws, Marilyn R. and Charles C. Barnes, of New Castle and Carolyn R. and William R. (Bob) Bass, Salem; one sister, Wilma Rastle Reed, Seymour, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Laquita Dawn Barnes, Floyd, Charles L. and Julian G. Barnes, both of New Castle. Funeral services 2 p.m. Friday July 19, 1996, at Johannes Lutheran Church, St. Clara, W.Va. Arrangements are being handled by Spurgeon Funeral Home, West Union, W.Va. RICKEY, Russell Graham, 64, of Route 3, Max Meadows, died Monday, July 15, 1996, in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Salem. He was born in Wythe County, the son of the late Russell and Lillian Frances Co ulson Rickey. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, and was a member of the Max Meadows United Methodist Church. He is survived by a sister, Patsy M. Rickey of Max Meadows. Several cousins also survive. Funeral services will held Thursday, July 18, 1996, at 2 p.m. at the Max Meadows United Methodist Church with the Rev. Richard G. Lindamood and the Rev. Randy Morris officiating. Interment will follow in the Porter Rickey Cemetery. American Legion Post #9 will conduct graveside military rites. The body will be taken to the church one hour before service time. The family will receive friends at the Barnett Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, or at the residence at any time. Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville is in charge of the arrangements.
