ROBIN WILLIS of Roanoke has been named to the dean's list at the University of Northern Iowa.
ANTIOCH UNIVERSITY in Yellow Springs, Ohio, awarded bachelor's degrees to Emily Flournoy Elliot and Eric Joseph Sollinger, both of Roanoke.
VIRGINIA WESTERN COMMUNITY COLLEGE has awarded academic scholarships to local students. These scholarship awards will cover a full year's tuition at VWCC, for the 1996-97 fall and spring semesters.

Aaron Levine of Roanoke and Michael Bryant of Salem, students in the school's computer information systems program, received Atlantic Mutual Scholarships. They are students in VWCC's Computer Information Systems program.
JASON FIELDS, the son of Joan Fields of Roanoke and Beau Fields of South Carolina, received a doctor of medicine degree from the James H. Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University.
Fields will begin a residency in pediatrics at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
REBECCA KATRINA SHERMAN, daughter of Bob and Beckie Sherman of Roanoke, recently received a master's degree in education/audiology from James Madison University. Sherman is a graduate of Cave Spring High School.
THEODORE GRIESENBROCK of Roanoke was named to the dean's list at the National Institute for the Deaf in Rochester, N.Y.

JAMES M. AMORE of Roanoke was recently named to the dean's list at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tenn.
ELIZABETH WEDEMEYER of Roanoke has been named to the dean's list for the second semester at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
REBECCA MOORE, daughter of Thomas and Ann Moore of Roanoke, has been named a recipient of the Aycock scholarship at Campbell University in North Carolina.
TROY ANDERSON of Roanoke has been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Eastern New Mexico University.
CATHERINE PILCHER BRADSHAW, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John P. Bradshaw of Roanoke, has been named to the dean's list for the 1996 spring semester at the University of Richmond.
KRISTINE LYNN GARREN, daughter of Kenneth and Sheila Garren of Salem, received a master of arts degree in counseling education from Virginia Tech. She is a 1990 graduate of Roanoke College.
MAURIE LANE CLARK KNUPPEL, daughter of Elton and Shirley Clark of Roanoke, received a doctorate in special education from Virginia Tech. She graduated from Kansas University in 1987, and received a master of arts from Virginia Tech in 1992. Knuppel plans to work as a counselor.
TRACI HESS of Roanoke has earned Virginia Tech's Cunningham Fellowship to continue her work toward a doctoral degree. Hess received her master's degree in accounting information systems from Virginia Tech this spring.
JENNIFER BROOKE MARTIN, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. William Stacey IV of Roanoke, received a bachelor of science degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn.
SUSAN F. LYNCH of Roanoke received a bachelor of science degree in liberal studies from Regents College, The University of the State of New York.

LAUREN WILLSON of Roanoke has been awarded Washington and Lee University's James McDowell Scholarship. The award is named for a former governor of Virginia.

Hill is a biology major and the daughter of Gladys and Jerry Hill of Buchanan.
Clough is a special education major and the daughter of Richard and Nancy Clough of Roanoke.
STEPHEN ANTONIO CLAYBORNE, son of Barbara H. Clayborne of Roanoke, recently received a bachelor of arts degree in business administration from Morehouse College in Atlanta.
STEVEN TERRY TURNER, son of Shirley D. Turner of Roanoke, has been elected to the Phi Beta Kappa academic honorary society at Johns Hopkins University.
Turner graduated in May with a degree in biophysics.
