Coy Gibbs, son of former Washington Redskins coach and current NASCAR Winston Cup team owner Joe Gibbs, will make his racing debut Saturday night at Franklin County Speedway.
Gibbs, 23, practiced last week on the 3/8-mile oval and will take on the Callaway-based speedway's Late Model Stock field in the featured event.
Gibbs and his crew will conduct a news conference today at 4:30 p.m. at the track to discuss their future plans in racing. The public is welcome to attend.

* The Roanoke Star Youth 15 boys' soccer team improved to 6-0-1 on its European tour, capturing a 2-1 win over Bornhosen, Germany.
Andy Leffler and Rob Jennings scored the Roanoke goals.
Meanwhile, the Roanoke Star Youth 16 girls' squad dropped their tour opener, losing 3-1 to Kartenburg, Germany. Sarah Jane Whitman scored the Roanoke goal.
The two Roanoke squads will play Saturday against the Essen Soccer Club, before moving to Denmark to compete with some 800 teams from 47 countries in the Dana Cup.
