It was a case of once bitten and not at all shy.
Town police raced to Arnold's of Radford about 12:45 a.m. Friday after getting a report of a fight.
What they found was three college women in a brawl that left one woman with a bite wound on her right forearm severe enough to warrant an arrest.
Deanna Lene McCall, 20, of Radford, was charged with malicious wounding and released on a $1,500 unsecured bond, according to Capt. Gary Harmon.
Harmon said an officer's report on the fight said Katrina Michelle Crews, 23, of Radford tried to break up a fight between McCall and a friend of Crews'.
Crews ended up pulling back a bloody arm after entering the fray, Harmon said. She was advised to have a doctor examine the wound, but police were uncertain if she ever went to the hospital.
