Digital Equipment Corp. recently donated a computer system valued at almost $4,000 to the Easter Seal Society of Virginia. Over the past three years, Digital Equipment Corp. has donated five computer systems to the group.

This computer system will be used in the Access Science Program at Camp Easter Seal. The Easter Seal Society of Virginia provides programs and services to children and adults with disabilities.

More than 400 cyclists biked between 150 and 200 miles for the Blue Ridge Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society on June 8 and 9. The volunteers raised over $138,000 during the eighth annual MS "Pedal the Piedmont" bike tour. The funds raised are used for multiple sclerosis research and for services to the people in the area living with the disease. For more information, call (800)451-0373.
