VAN DRIVER SOUGHT

Police are looking for a man who was reported to have made sexual advances Monday to a 13-year-old boy after giving him a ride in his van.

Detective Mike Hudson said the boy told police he got in the van with the man on Bertha Street to show him where a construction site was. They rode about a half-mile to Highland Terrace at which point the boy asked the man to take him back to Bertha Street.

During the ride the man made sexual comments to the boy and tried to get him to read a pornographic magazine. The boy also told police he noticed the man's pants were unzipped, Hudson said.

When the man got to the intersection of Paca and Bertha streets, the boy got out and the man promised to buy him a soda. The boy waited until the man returned with the soda and then began walking home.

The boy said the man followed him for a short while in the van before leaving the area, Hudson said.

Hudson said there are no suspects at this point.
